About Me

Hello!

Currently I am a post-doc at the University of Texas at Austin. I work between the Marine Science Institute with Dr. Jordan Casey and the Statistics and Data Science Department with Dr. Mevin Hooten

My research centers on pelagic community structure and how it changes over space and time. Currently, I'm focused on identifying how plankton community composition and diet selectivity influence foodwebs in estuaries. To accomplish this we are analyzing historical trends in plankton and fish data, utilizing molecular tools to identify diets, and constructing models to represent the pelagic estuarine ecosystem.

My past work was focused on using in-situ imaging tools to bettern understand deep-ocean plankton patterns. Broadly I'm interested in how new methods and modelling techniques can better elucidate patterns in our pelagic ecosystems. Please reach out if you are interested in a collaboration.
